It is the “bridge” component of our platform. It’s a lightweight software agent you install inside your private network. It allows Tavio Studio workflows to securely interact with internal systems—like on-premise databases (SQL Server, Oracle), file servers, or legacy ERPs—that are not accessible from the public internet.
No. This is the Agent’s primary architectural advantage. It uses an Outbound-Only WebSocket connection (wss://). The Agent reaches out to the Tavio Platform; the Platform never reaches “in.” This eliminates the need for inbound firewall rules and dramatically reduces your network’s attack surface.
The Agent is designed for Resilience. It features automatic reconnection with exponential backoff and local task buffering. If the connection drops, the Agent queues the work and processes it once connectivity is restored, ensuring zero data loss during temporary outages.
Once installed, the Agent provides seamless connectivity to almost anything on your local network: relational databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle), local file directories for secure transfer, and private internal APIs.
